Qostly Shopping
How Qostly ranks offers
Qostly Shopping is in development and shows no offers yet. These are the rules its comparisons will follow when it launches.
1. Only offers for the exact product
An offer is compared only once its listing has been matched to the exact product variant you are looking at. Uncertain matches are reviewed by a person, not guessed. Accessories, parts, bundles and other versions of the product are never mixed in.
2. Which offers can be ranked
An offer is included when it is for the product and condition you chose, priced in pounds for the UK at a fixed price, recently updated, from a retailer that is not suspended, and not out of stock. Prices that depend on a voucher, membership, cashback, finance or trade-in are not used in totals.
3. Ordered by the delivered total
By default, offers are ordered by their delivered total: the item price, plus delivery, plus any mandatory fees, including VAT. A total is shown only when every part of it is known. Offers whose total is unknown (for example, delivery not stated) come after those with a known total, with the reason shown. They are never treated as free delivery. You can also sort by item price or by retailer name.
When two offers cost the same, the more recently updated price comes first, then the retailer name.
4. Labels
Lowest known total marks the offer with the lowest delivered total. It appears only when at least two offers have a known total.
Lowest total from a qualifying retailer marks the lowest-total offer that also meets every one of a set of stated, checkable criteria, such as being in stock, recently updated, sold and dispatched by the retailer itself, and backed by a published returns policy of at least 28 days. The offer shows each criterion, what we observed and when (“Why this offer?”).
No label is shown when there is only one offer, when prices are out of date, or when a match is still being checked. The page says why. Qostly does not use “best value” or savings claims based on a retailer's “was” price.
5. What never affects the order
Whether Qostly earns a commission from an offer, and how much, never affects which offers are shown, their order or their labels. Neither do clicks. If the same retailer offer reaches us from more than one source, it is shown once, chosen by a fixed order of sources that never considers price or commission. If Qostly Shopping ever offers paid placements, they will be separate from these results and clearly labelled as sponsored.
Product and seller ratings are not used yet. When they are, they will show where they come from, how many reviews they are based on and when they were collected, and a product rating will never reorder retailer offers.
6. When something is wrong
If a match, price or delivery cost looks wrong, please tell us. We will check the report, correct the data, and take an offer out of comparisons while it is being fixed. See also our affiliate disclosure.
